In border regions, where national borders often separate interconnected labour markets, the recognition of qualifications is one of the most common and practical challenges faced by cross-border workers, employers and public authorities.
The session will explore how easier recognition and digital portability of skills and qualifications can help cross-border workers access employment more quickly, support employers, in particular SMEs, in addressing labour shortages, and strengthen the integration of border labour markets.
