Border regions often face rising housing costs and shortages, driven by differences in planning rules, taxation, and income levels. This session will explore how better coordination and spatial planning can support affordable, sustainable housing across borders.

The new edition of the ‘Beyond Borders: Breakfast Debate’ will notie that housing comes with particular complexities in EU border regions. The debate aimed to identify the opportunities and challenges linked to housing in EU Border Regions and to explore the implications in citizens’ daily lives.
